Interosseous muscles

  1. Flex proximal phalanx, extend 2 distal phalanges, and abduct or adduct fingers
    1. palmar interosseous located on the medial side of digits 2,3 and 4 and adduct the fingers
    2. dorsal interosseous located on both lateral and medial side of digits 2,3,4 and 5 and the medial side of 1 and can adduct or abduct the fingers
  2. Innervated by C8 and T1 via the ulnar nerve
