Congenital hydrocephalus/precocious puberty

1. Male children
   1. search for teratoma of the pinal gland causing hydrocephalus
2. Female children
   1. hypothalamic disease or an estrogen-secreting ovarian tumor
   2. hypothalamic hamartoma (part of von Recklinghausen disease (NF1) or of polyostotoic fibrous dysplasia) is a common cause of precocious puberty in both boys and girls
