
Color anomia

- Two groups:
- those that have word blindness (alexia without agraphia) where there is a disconnection of the primary visual areas from the language areas
- those that fail in purely verbal tasks pertaining to color naming such as the color of common objects; lesion involves the medial part of the left hemiphere at the junction of the occipital and temporal lobes just below the splenium of the corpus callosum
